Revolting continuity.
We’ve scoured the area we live for the latest OXM, as the coverdisc includes precious demos that drive me to wild and wanton acts. Also, I read stuff where people were talking about it like they had it, or it had been delivered to their house or something. Maybe back in the day I would have known how it worked to buy a gaming magazine, but I haven’t purchased one in so long I’m completely out of the loop. I don’t know if they put them behind secret panels, or what. There’s some kind of Goddamn ritual now.
If OXM is going to have demos this good, I mean, shit. Maybe I could subscribe to a magazine without shame.
Has anyone had a chance to play Natural Selection yet? Is it good? I wouldn’t know. Finding the CD at all was a miraculous event, and I was very proud indeed until I realized that there was also a valuable number required. Please motivate me to seek out this numeric string by regaling me with tales of sci-fi action and/or adventure.
Everyone should have their Over-Easy pages for October now, and I hope that you enjoyed them. Gabe and I will be watching many, many Jet Li movies this weekend in preparation for the next section, thick as it is with deadly, foreign chop-socky. I love working on it so far, because there’s really no work involved for me whatsoever. When we do the strip it’s work, but it’s work within fairly strict parameters. It is conceivable to finish it in a day. With the OE stuff, maybe ten sentences of descriptive text damn him to two full weeks of work. And that feels good.
November marks four years of Penny Arcade, which we’re going to celebrate in a way I will clarify later today. Rumor has it the celebration may include videogames.
