I am routinely disappointed in our Ninformant.

He’s a cool guy and everything, but he doesn’t tell us jack about what’s going on at Nintendo.  For a while I thought I had a system for determining valid data, he has this smile he does, but now I realize that he’s just smiling because he is happy or some shit.  It’s got nothing to do with the question at hand, I could ask about a new 3D screen or dog balls and it’s the same little smirk.

So when he tells me about something that is genuinely interesting, I’m always taken aback - not because it’s genuinely interesting, but because he said anything at all.  Ninformant, though I like the turn of phrase, is wholly inapt.

This is what he showed us on Saturday.  It is interesting, but also sort of psychotic, and it suggests that the developers might be dangerously overstimulated.
