I’ve never been to anything like this before in my life, and the experience terrified me. I walked through the halls and said, this is not my culture. This is not my culture.
We considered perhaps not coming back ever, just packing up all the stuff, going home, and playing Soul Calibur 2. I felt like an invading, alien element in their otherwise holy ritual. When people came by, though, to ask if we’d be there the next day, “we’re leaving because your kind frightens us” seemed inappropriate. So we will stay.
Please, please, please - if you are at the con, and you read Penny Arcade, come by and see us. We need comfort. We’re in the room called “Crystal C.” You will know it is us because we will be white with fear.
