I’ve got BIG news people! I mentioned a few weeks ago that we resolved the legal issues surrounding our first book. Well now I am happy to announce that we will have soft and hard cover versions of Penny Arcade:Year 1 available at Sakuracon. About twenty boxes of books showed up today, finally released from the legal limbo they had been held prisoner in. These are the last of the year one books and it will never be printed again. So this is your opportunity to get your hands on our first and as of right now only book!

Penny Arcade: Year one is a collection of all the comics from our first year along with commentary on each one by Tycho and I. Originally these books sold for $35 for a hard cover and $25 for the soft. In honor of our victory over the legal system we’re slashing prices. The soft covers will be $15 and the hard covers will be $20.  I know that there are lots of you out there who will want one of these books but can’t make it to Sakuracon. I’m sure there will be people attending the con who are willing to pick up extra copies. I suggest hitting the “help” forum if you need to find these people. The books will be sold only at conventions and will not be available through Thinkgeek. So if you want one of these you’ll need to grab one at Sakuracon, San Diego or PAX assuming we still have some left by then.

Holy shit! We just opened one of the boxes and it actually had 42 of the collector’s editions in it! These are signed and numbered and come in a hard protective sleeve. Only 500 of the collectors editions exist and we were under the impression that they had all been sold. Originally this version sold for $100 but we’ll be selling it for $50 now.

Goddamn I’m so excited to have our books back. Five years off legal bullshit have finally been put behind us! See you at Sakuracon.
