People tend to either really like PA or absolutely hate it. I’ve met very few people who are “on the fence” about what we do here. We’re really just lucky that enough people enjoy fruit fuckers and deep crows to let us make a living off this. We always figured that this phenomenon would translate over to the game when review scores started to hit. The first few numbers are just now coming out and it looks like we were right.

Apparently Edge magazine pegs our game at a 4 out of ten while OXM gives us an 8.5. If that isn’t a perfect example of the sorts of opinions PA generates I don’t know what is. I guess I should be upset about the 4 but I really can’t blame someone for not liking what we make. I’m happy about the 8.5 as personally I pegged the game at a solid 8. The same reviewer who gave us the 4 in Edge gave us a 68% in a different UK magazine. regardless of which number you want to believe I think it’s clear he wasn’t a fan of the game. We’re still waiting for the reviews from sites like Gamespot, Wired and 1Up. I’m curious to see if they’ll fall closer to the OXM review or the Edge one. In the end I don’t think the scores will matter too much. Tycho and I have been making things and putting them online for ten years now. The game is no different than the comic. We made something we like and we hope you like it too.

You’ll be able to see for yourself when the game comes out later this month.
