Obviously the biggest announcement of PAX this year was Duke Nukem Forever. There was another announcement though that you might have missed. During our very first Q&A of the show we took the stage with Scott Kurtz to announce a brand new comic strip called the Trenches.

This will be a thrice weekly webcomic that will appear on its own site. It is written by Tycho, myself and Scott. The bulk of the art duties will be handled by Scott with a little help from me. I have to say that collaborating with Scott on the character designs and the visual style of this strip has been a blast. I think if you look at the result you’ll see a really cool combination of both our styles. The comic itself will follow the lives of a group of game testers. The Trenches is a character driven strip with solid continuity. We’re actually approaching it as if we were writing a sitcom.

We’ve been writing for a few weeks now and I already love these people. I can’t wait for you to meet them.
