Man, IGDA board members seem to really hate the IGDA lately
The International Game Developers Association hasn't had much good press lately. Back in March they faced high-profile resignations in light of an IGDA-hosted party at the Game Developers Conference which featured scantily clad female dancers.
Now, former IGDA board member Darius Kazemi is discussing the reasons why he too resigned from the board.
It's really quite sad to read that one of the IGDA's own former board members thinks that the organization may actually be hindering the progress of game developers in the industry.
He describes it as an organization that is first and foremost concerned with its own survival. So not only could it be hindering game developers, but it also may be too skillful at survival to ever actualy fade away. If you take his words at face value, this is a bad position to be in.
