Vegas is a fascinating place filled with incredible technological advances designed to strip the money directly from your wallet. It can be a fun trip if you know what you're paying for, but the 72 hour rule is wise. Any more time than three days and bad things tend to happen.

This story discusses some of the lessons that slot machines are learning from video games, but the twist is that nothing you do can impact the amount of money you win. So players are spending more and more time "playing" slots that seem more and more complex, except the odds of winning remain locked.

It seems counter-intuitive, but if this is what gets people in the seats and dumping in their money, this is what we're going to see. It's a crazy business.
