There’s a new Deus Ex game coming! Yay! To mobile and tablet devices! Oh…
Deus Ex: The Fall was teased yesterday, and fans got all hot and bothered over the idea of a brand-new game in the franchise. Well, now we have more information about the game, and surprise, it's a mobile title!
The video announcement covers most of the details, so give it a watch.
We know the game is coming this summer for $6.99, and it's a sequel to the novel Deus Ex: The Icarus Effect. We also know that fans do not seem to be into the idea of a mobile Deus Ex title, right now the video has 176 thumbs up votes and 2,699 thumbs down votes. That's just what people click on a video though, the question is whether they'll complain about the title now, but buy it when it comes out.
This matches up with Square Enix's plan to release more games on mobile devices, and mobile games allow them to use existing assets and tools to create games quickly, get them out the door, and test the market. Are there any doubts that this will include some form of microtransaction?
Remember, publishers don't care about what you say, they care about where you spend your money. It's very possible that everyone will hate the idea of this game, and then get their wallets out when it's released. We'll have more information on this title during E3.
