Nobody can do it! All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
It would take a while to go through what I actually mean by that. I grew up in a context where you'd say something like this, like… on Tuesday. The v45 version of myself has, in the manner of a tireless switchboard operator, hooked these metaphysical concepts up on the panel to things with more general utility than scourging nonbelievers. People generally seemed to forget that "all" up there included the person speaking. I mean… That's the first one. But if you want to shake your tiny fist at the sky and entreat the Gods to embroider "interesting" subplots in your life, literally becoming iconic seems like an amazing way to kick that off.
No person can do it, and no person should want it. Having ridden something adjacent to this particular train for multiple decades, the only good thing about developing notoriety is that occasionally you can do cool things for your friends. Beyond that, I experience the sensation of being a public person as incredible torque on the skull.
Dabe has been taking Gavin on a Twitch tour of Outer Wilds, one of the most resonant and beautiful games in recent memory. The game is forty percent off right now, if you like what you see.
