I've been texting Kiko every time a new piece of information comes out about the revamped Kill Team, and thus emboldened I tried to engage in the same sort of rhetoric with Gabe which lasted about ten fuckin' seconds.
There's currently a website for the new Kill Team, but it's mostly a brand excursion - it's a layout with some lore and what I think are known as "calls to action." If you want to know how it actually works - how to build armies, like how the new turns function, the finer points of movement, the wild new ranged or melee combat, or the new standalone book that incorporates all this shit - you essentially have to be the kind of person who goes to the Warhammer Community site every day which is to say me. I've played more Kill Team than I have regular 40k at this point - skirmish scale splits the difference between wargaming and boardgaming, most plainly in something like Blood Bowl. Warcry, the skirmishy variant of Age of Sigmar, seems to have informed the new Kill Team some in ways I think might be interesting. Gonna have to play it.
We're gonna head into the studio tomorrow for the first Acquisitions Intoxicated in a long time - that starts up at noon PDT, then Grub will Gundam probably at 1:30, then we're gonna do some of the old Kill Team which we couldn't do for the last year or so with Eric and Kiko around 3. I can't wait.
Also, I am honor-bound to emphasize Dabe's powerful new "Sup' Gamers" line for the Monday Crew, which grapples philosophically with the concepts of being and non-being. Garments for every conceivable body shape await you here:
(CW)TB out.
