Given how skittish and cowardly megacorporations tend to be, and especially given how much creative work Warners Brothers has either destroyed or sold for parts recently, their unwillingness to simply launch the film into the sun is quite novel, for reasons we'll go into. I suspect in addition to these, or any other invisible dynamics, the fact that it's an ensemble film means there are many, many moneyed individuals ready to take a bite of them if they do.

In order to ply their trade, actors are forced to live very near to smoking, active hell-portals and the Handmaidens of the Lucifex that perpetually stoke their hypnotic whorls. Assuming you arrived psychologically whole - an open question for individuals whose chief skill is being other people - I think Hollywood does whatever a rock tumbler does, but to your mind, and in reverse.

I had heard what most people heard when Ezra Miller was engaged in something like a crime spree. What I hadn't heard is that they think they're Jesus, The Devil, or a new messiah, which is why the Freemasons have been sending so many demonic assassins. They also came to believe that their girlfriend at one point was a Native American Spider Goddess, and their union would end the Earth. Eventually a child became the object of Miller's fascination, and before a harassment prevention order was secured by the kid's parents, the actor dressed as a cowboy and attempted to buy their horses.

I don't put these things here as a joke or a ha ha. I'm not trying to secure mordant snickers. I'm saying that stuff is completely whacked out, way more whacked out than was broadly communicated. I don't know if doing those other things means you can't be an actor anymore. I mean… I guess, clearly you can. I feel like people have gotten in trouble for way less, and I can't for the life of me figure out the rubric for these decisions. I have spent a lot of time trying to suss out the hidden laws and subtle geometry of these positions, and eventually I came to believe there simply was no geometry - subtle or otherwise. What happens is whatever you can make happen, and the people who understand this also understand that rules are for fucking suckers.
