Gabriel was telling me about Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and about how… just about how it was, what it was like. He told me things that I guess are technically spoilers but I don't know if you can meaningfully spoil or even harm this type of content. It is a buddy cop movie about a nuclear dinosaur and a monkey that is too big. He's too big! I can't stress that enough.
Every now and then he will tell me about a film knowing full well that I don't have whatever orifice would be required to consume it. The ancient line from Hurlyburly continues to earn - "good taste has no doubt deprived me of a great many things" - but I don't even think that it has to do with taste. Let's call something that is so bad it's good "dumb" and let's call things that are actually just bad but occasionally studded with effects or technical brilliance "stupid." I like the first one, which is genuinely tricky to pull off. There are just certain kinds of movies, this specific kind, this hundred million dollar stupid kind, where I just think about the kind of things I would do with that budget instead. I'm looking at Wheel Saint or Nightlight or Sand or literally any of the Eyrewood stuff and I feel like it would be easier and cheaper to do just about any of them. I have tried and failed to watch this new Rise of the Beasts, Transformery shit and I can't do it. I desperately want to watch a robot turn into an animal, and vice versa, but the movies care so little about themselves that I can't breathe while I'm watching them. I have to pause to take a breath.
I tweeted it on the Twitter, but if you are starting to ship more things than you're ready to handle, first of all - congratulations. Second of all, do you want help doing it from a team that knows exactly how? We have a super short intake form if you're ready to wonder what a different way looks like.
Do you have a store that ships things, so many things that it's beginning to stress you out? This is a problem we have handled for lots of companies you know, in a seamless and professional way. We have a quick intake form if you're ready to relax:https://t.co/7a7spssare
