When we only had two advertisers a month, it wasn't hard for me to keep up with thanking them - but since they've started to take the site very seriously in this regard, I've fallen somewhat behind. We're still very picky, of course, and we turn down ads all the time. That is probably not a good business practice, but we have the luxury here to be able to do the right thing. In any case, we've had some really cool things on here the last few months that I wish I had been more demonstrative about.
The Cheapass guys (and girl) advertised with us recently, increasing our standing with boardgamers to incredible proportions. It was our pleasure to advertise Diceland and their other games, because they are almost uniformly excellent. I didn't know what Legacy Online really was until they approached us, so I told them I would play it and get back to them. There is really nothing else like it, an online multiplayer business simulator that does things no-one else has thought of. The interface takes some getting used to, but it seemed clear after playing it that it would strike a chord with enough of you to make it worth it. Maybe some of you are even in that new tournament they're running, I do like to imagine Penny Arcade readers demolishing their competitors.
Blitzkrieg was good, Moonpod's still with us, and their game is good... I don't know. It seems like things are basically working the way they're supposed to.
