I just wanted to let you all know that page 2 of our four page Painkiller comic is now available(click on downloads).
I want to thank you all for the very nice letters regarding our current comic projects. I'm really glad you guys are enjoying them as much as you seem to be. You might have noticed that our upcoming Splinter Cell comic is actually pretty big compared to the stuff we've been doing. It's a sixteen page story based around the multiplayer portion of SC:Pandora Tomorrow. A few of you actually wrote in to tell me that I drew to many lights on Sam Fisher's mask in the recent wallpaper I uploaded. Well that actually isn't Sam Fisher. Our story pits two Shadownet spies against two Argus mercenaries just like you might see in the games multiplayer. So the characters you see in the artwork I've released so far are characters Tycho and I created especially for this story.
I'm really excited to fill you in on another cool thing about the Splinter Cell comic. It's actually being colored by professional comic book colorist James Rochelle. You might not know the name but chances are, if you read comics you've seen his work. He's colored all kinds of comic books, like Gen 13, Wetworks, Stormwatch, Wildcats, Steampunk and even some stuff from Marvel and DC like Spiderman: Out of Reach and JLA: Heavens Ladder. Now he's coloring my ink work on our Splinter Cell book and I couldn't be happier. You should be able to start reading it online in just a few weeks. Be sure and keep an eye on the official website. In the meantime, here is a little behind the scenes peek at the new book.
I've had a lot of mail asking if print versions of these books will be available. Trust me, it's something we'd love to see. It's technically up to the companies that own the work though. I've heard some talk about possibly printing version of the comics and passing them out at E3 but I'm not sure about that. It's something we are pushing for though and I'll let you know if I hear anything definite.
