Tycho mentioned the concept of Gamer Cards earlier. The idea is that a sort of record is kept that lists all the games you play and the progress you’ve made in each. I’m not 100% sold on the idea myself but I have to admit its execution is pretty cool.
I went ahead and transferred my Live account over to the new 360 this morning and it was totally painless. I then registered my account over at Xbox.com. This means that you can go check out my Gamer Card if you want. You’ll even get a sneak peek at what the PA avatars look like. About the only thing I’ve done so far under my own account is buy the PA skins and gamer pictures. Yes I purchased my own shit, I happen to be a very big PA fan.
I’ve played some COD and some Tiger under Tycho’s account which you can see on his Gamer Card. So far I’m really liking COD. I actually passed on picking it up for the other systems so I could experience it on the 360. I am not disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasteful Tiger is. That franchise was moving in a direction that is best described as EXTREME! ™ From what I’ve seen so far a lot of that hyper-Tiger-vision-voodoo shit has disapeared. What remains is a relatively pure golf experience. It is at the very least an adequate golf game to amuse yourself with until the next gen Links is released.
