I've still been painting most nights and I'm learning a ton. I suppose I could try and take a class or something but I've always figured that learning by doing is the best way to go. You make a lot more mistakes but there's value in that process. This latest painting for example got completely painted over three times I think.

Painting number 3
I know it's a pretty simple piece but it was really fun to do. I learned a lot about blending and mixing colors on this one. I also learned the importance of priming the canvas.
This latest piece is the first in a series I plan on doing based on my favorite games. I sat down and made a list yesterday of all the games I've really loved over the years and I plan on trying to do paintings based on as many of them as I can. The list has stuff like Zelda, Rez, Kingdom Hearts and Bioshock on it, plus lots more. Once I have a bunch of these done I'd like to have some kind of show here locally. I've always worked digitally so the idea of having a space full of physical artwork I've done is really exciting.
I've had a lot of people ask about buying these but besides having absolutely no clue how much to charge, I'm just not ready to part with them yet. As I create more and more pieces hopefully that will change and I'll be able to let some of my babies go. It's flattering that so many of you would like to own one of these, especially considering I've just started painting. This is all still very new territory for me so your encouragement and even advice is much appreciated.
