Tycho and I flew down to L.A. a while ago to film an episode of Wil Wheaton’s Tabletop. The episode is finally up today and you can watch it right here. We played Shadows over Camelot which is an awesome game and one I had played a few times before. We played with Tara Strong who is a super talented voice actress.She was kind enough to record a message for my son and ran through a few voices of his favorite characters including a special "hi Gabe!” as Twilight Sparkle.
We had a great time filming the episode and I appreciate Wil inviting us down. Tycho and I are a very strange sort of famous. It’s true that we have fans and I’ve certainly been recognized on the street before but Wil is actually famous and he hangs around with actual celebrities. After we filmed our episode we were invited to lunch with the group that was coming in to film the next episode after ours. That turned out to be Seth Green and his wife Clare. They were both incredibly nice and I ended up having a really good time chatting with them but it was still very surreal. About halfway through my barbecue I looked around at the table, saw who I was sitting at a table with and just shook my head.
So thanks to Wil for having us on his show and letting us pretend to be celebrities for a day. We had a great time and I hope you guys will all go and watch our episode of Tabletop!
