It looks like I’m probably the opposite of Tycho here. I find myself preferring the PS4 controller. He has spent his nights playing XBox One and I’ve spent mine on the Playstation. That’s not to say that I dislike the Xbox, I’m just having a better time on the PS4 right now.
So what am I playing? Well I spent the first week playing through the entire single player campaign of Killzone. I thought it was great from start to finish. I’m playing some Need For Speed and a bit of Battlefield but most nights I’m in Assassin's Creed multiplayer. Obviously these are games you could grab on the Xbox as well and have the same experience. I’m playing them on the PS4 because it came out first so that is where I purchased them and also because I prefer the user experience right now. I like how the PS4 menu puts my games and my friends right up front. I’ve also been streaming every night and I really like chatting with folks while I play. I respect the fact that the Xbox One wants to be my media hub/everything box but the PS4 feels like it was built to play games and play them with your friends. I like that.
I'm also very impressed with the PS Vita connectivity. I've been playing a few games via the remote play option and it's awesome. Unlike the WiiU the range is really only limited by your WiFi and mine does a pretty good job of covering the house. I've had no problem playing Need for Speed and AC on the Vita while upstairs in bed. Digging out the Vita to test this also got me poking around in Vita games again. I have to say Tearaway is absolutely beautiful and a must play if you own the system.
There’s been some discussion about our recent job posting. Kenneth wrote up a post on our forums about his job and why he is leaving which he certainly didn’t have to do but I think he was getting frustrated reading some of the stuff online. For my part, when it comes to working conditions here at PA, the only opinions that matter to me are the ones of the people actually working at PA.
