Last night's charity dinner and auction was incredible. I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support Child's Play. I bid on a bunch of items including some awesome Destiny stuff and a signed copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition. I didn't win any of those but I did win a giant two player Bejeweled arcade machine. It looks like this:
I had not intended to buy it but when it came up for auction my wife urged me to pick it up. Honestly I didn't mind, I like Bejeweled and I had no idea what I was going to get her for Christmas. My guess is it will end up out in our arcade/garage but it could just as easily go in our bedroom.
In other news I was cleaning up my Automata art folder this morning and found one of the pages I did that I did not end up using. When I first started the project I struggled to figure out the right "look" and tried a lot of different styles. Here is an alternate version of the first page that shows you what the comic might have looked like.
I liked this style a lot but in the end I did not feel confident that I could pull it off over the course of 11 pages. I ended up doing two pages like this before I went back to the drawing board so to speak.
