Over the course of the writing process, which wasn't particularly long to begin with, he got about six different calls to see if he was interested in a mortgage. He was not! But when I saw what he was doing to make this scenario tolerable, this Plethora Of Suitors, it sorta seemed like that was probably the strip.
Next week is PAX Aus! This is its tenth year, and it was already quite clear last year that cons were back on the menu but 2023 has gone to a truly bonkers place - three day passes are sold out, Saturday passes are sold out, and Fridays are on their way out now. I don't know if I'd leave a Friday pass to a "day of" purchase if I had a choice - it's probably worth getting yours before. I'm super excited to be getting back down there; Friday night kicks off one of my favorite things we do, which is our Acquisitions Incorporated: Call of Cthulhu game run by Kris Straub.
Technically, this is the third main stage game we've done in the setting down there, in the Deep Places of the Earth. You should watch the other two (2019, 2022) because they're awesome, but Kris' Call of Cthulhu games are appropriately Non-Euclidean and as long as you have brought your sensory organs you should have the tools required to metabolize it. Every one of them is a One Shot, bound together only by the Acquisitions Incorporated organization and its mysterious progenitor Omin Dran, and a few horrifying details woven through for the true enthusiast. They are intended to be watched and enjoyed, however you might find yourselves in our maw.
(CW)TB out.
