I’ve got the show notes for Downloadable Content 05/07/2007. The episode is available for direct download at this link, or feel free to subscribe to our iTunes compatible feed here. It’s only about fifteen minutes long and it’s just our initial rambling in the morning. Listening to these back is really weird. I’m sort of surprised that we every actually write anything.
05 – The “shit” about Ian and Matt. Basically Matt made some comments at work about shooting people in the face and he got fired. Then he referenced the incedent in his journal comic and the cops showed up at his house.
00 – The comic Tycho mentions is “Has This Ever Happened To Yoo”
44 – You can see the Heavenly Sword on Heroes clip for yourself right here.
17 – I think I’m probably a bit harsh on Mr. Spade here. I just think it’s sad to go from Tommy Boy and Black Sheep to Racing Stripes and the Benchwarmers. Wow, the user ratings for Black Sheep and Tommy Boy on IMDB are actually just as bad as his recent stuff. Am I the only one that thinks the Farley/Spade combo was pure comedic gold? The “Fat guy in little coat” bit still makes me laugh just thinking about it.
37 – During his search for this allegedly very funny video Tycho pulled up femenisting.com. I guess I thought that was pretty funny.
15 – The Pussycat Dolls show did indeed get “crazy good” ratings.
28 – Tycho says “G Money” here. This is a reference to a story from a convention we did a few years back. An animator came to the booth and was telling us about the latest animated movie he was working on. We asked him if he ever got tired of making movies about talking bugs and toys and he said “G rated equals G money.” Truer words were never spoken.
21 –I will often times argue points with Tycho that are completely opposite to my own beliefs just to make him angry. In this case I honestly didn’t understand why feminists would dislike the Pussycat Dolls. It seems to me like hating them for their lack of talent and class is enough. I’m not sure why you need more than that.
06 – The World of Warcraft credit card.
23 – Whenever we call Gamestop we use funny voices. It started because we would often times call multiple times in a day just to check if they had received a game yet. We started trying to disguise our voices each time we called back. Now it’s just sort of a habit.
