Playing Sid Meier's Civilization on David Lishner's 386, I think I couldn't have imagined a couple things. One, that there would eventually be six of these motherfuckers. You don't really understand how time works when you are a larva, and what's more, it would be several additional years before I stopped believing in the rapture.
One thing that would never, ever have made sense would be the idea that you would have more than one computer in the house. And let's say you did, for some reason. You'd never see an entire family playing Civilization together. But that happens all the time over at Gabe's house; I can see it because I'm Steam Friends with his whole family, and because we're connected via a lightspeed global information architecture. That's something else I might have found surprising!
Durty Dwab is in the PAX Mines, wrapping up a couple items for PAX East, a real show you can attend at the end of the month.
