I hear your cries

By Gabe – March 30, 2005

So the mail I've been getting is telling me that you would rather the next limited edition print be of the CTS. What I am considering doing is using the drawing of Gabe and Tycho I posted yesterday for a new poster instead of the next print. I'm going to work on a CTS drawing this week, so hopefully I'll have something to show you soon.

New limited edition print

By Gabe – March 28, 2005

After the response to the last limited edition print we decided to try and do three of them a year. I think this will be the next one. The final print will be 18x24 from edge to edge including the mat board. The actually artwork itself will measure 12x18. Once again we'll be using the laser cutting process on mylar.

Luminous

By Tycho – March 25, 2005

Lumines belongs with every PSP purchase, but if you read gaming news at all you've seen the nearly universal worship. Today's comic is an exaggeration, of course - anyone who has played Lumines will tell you that it renders you incapable of speech.

Oops

By Gabe – March 23, 2005

In my earlier post I referred the neck breaking move the spies use in SC as the “Snappy Snap.” I apologize for the error. That particular move is actually called the “Chokie Roberts”.

I just have some links to share with you.

I, um...

I don't know what I could possibly add to that.

Splinter Cell:CT

By Gabe – March 23, 2005

We went to an event on Friday at Microsoft and had the opportunity to play around with Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. This game is so incredible that it honestly could be three separate games. In fact my guess is that we'll see the Splinter Cell brand broken up into solo and multiplayer games and sold separately very soon. God knows the individual components are strong enough to stand on their own.

Substantial!

By Tycho – March 23, 2005

Before we were even conscious of it, that continuity which stalks all good men placed its dark mark on today's submission. Can't be helped, I guess. It certainly wasn't our intention on Monday to do a series where Gabriel sits on a deck chair for three days.

Agent to the Stars

By Gabe – March 21, 2005

I’m sure that many of you are familiar with John Scalzi. If not, I highly recommend checking out his website. His book “Agent to the Stars” is being published soon and he asked me to create the cover. I said hells yes and here is the final result.

Misconceptions

By Tycho – March 21, 2005

We're hitting the mall today and find out of there's to be some kind of "Midnight Madness" ala Halo 2 event for the PSP over at our EB. I really do desire the machine, in a way that I wish I desired another new handheld with two screens, but one of these systems has a strong launch lineup and one of them dished up an eight year old port and called it a feast. I believe somewhat the prevailing logic that the systems are designed for utterly disparate demographics, the price and design seems to imply such thing might be true, although I can't tell if PSP games launching at the $50 dollar mark constitutes brand identity or naked, cynical graft.
